Odysseus
Saliors of Odysseus through the village by the seashore
Willing it or not, Odysseus had to join Agamemnon in the War of Troy. After the war was over he lost his way on the sea and wandered forever from shores to shores. He met the female as goddess and witch. He fell in love with Circe, the enchantress, who told him the way that destiny has charted for him. In the underworld he met blind Oedipus wandering in the darkness. Like Odysseus all human life are such wandering from shores to shores. In the shore of every life one has to pass through the instinct-bound "village" buffeted with tumults and storms. Enter this village. Hear the songs of the dancing witches and the blind man at the end of a road in the festival of the village.
